Children must complete the trail with their own adult.

CHRISTMAS FAMILY PARTY - 24TH DECEMBER - HELP NEEDED

The holiday season is upon us, and we are excited for our upcoming Family Party after the Crib service. This is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and celebrate the joy of the season. To make this event a success, we need your help!

•    We need volunteers to bake delicious cakes for the party. If you love to bake and can contribute, we need you!

•    We will need help with setup and pack-down, with welcoming the children and families - or directing them towards the party after the crib service - . A couple of people to assist children with fun crafts, and a couple of people to help prepare dinner rolls and serve drinks to people!

If you are interested in volunteering for any of these roles, please let the church office know or find Orsi at church on Sunday.

YOUSHAPE

St. Matthew's will be the local hub in 2025 for YouShape: a non-residential discipleship year from the Oxford Diocese for 18-30 year olds. We're really excited to host this programme which explores Christian spiritual practices through monthly meet ups, a retreat weekend, and a pilgrimage. Please do share with anyone who might be interested. There is more information and a place to register interest on the website:  YouShape.Life. Or, alternatively, contact Laura via the church office.

PARISH CENTRE FEEDBACK

We've had several opportunities for members of church to share any thoughts you may have about the parish centre refresh before we start planning for it. One final opportunity is either face to face after the service on November 24th for a brief time or, if you are not able to use the QR code, you can find an online form here.

TWO VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO JOIN OUR CIMMUNITY LUNCH TEAM

You'd be on a rota with someone else, and it's just once a month, serving really friendly, lovely guests, and then clearing away. 12midday to 2pm (or earlier). Free lunch included! Interested? Please contact Carolyn Lloyd Davies via the church office for more information.

SINGLE FRIENDLY CHURCH - NOTICE FROM LAURA

Thank you to those who attended the Single Friendly Church audit a few weeks back. We really value all the feedback we received and we will be taking a little time to reflect on what was shared. If you were unable to attend, and would still like to feedback, you can do so here .  In due course, we will be sharing our reflections with the whole church family. Thank you again for supporting us in this!

ST.MATTHEW'S EVENT WHATSAPP

If you would like to be part of a WhatsApp group that connects all the Events happening at St. Matthew's then please let Laura know via the church office. We'd love for this to involve everyone that is involved in organising activities at St. Matthew's so that we can continue to connect and grow the life of the church.

HELPING OUR YOUNG PEOPLE

We want to build on our intergenerational focus as a church.  Moving forward into the Autumn term please consider assisting a leader with an under 18's group once next term.  No planning, experience or leading required. There is no age limit to being a helper!  In order to keep the provision for 0-18s as often as we would like, we need more help. Please contact Jo via the church office if you are interested.
